Young Moroccan Nour Ayadi won the 2019 Cortot Prize in Paris at the end of the competition for the higher diploma of concert performer at the «Ecole Normale Alfred Cortot».

The prestigious 2019 Cortot Prize took place on 16-17 May in Paris. This year, Nour makes a lasting impression by being the first female Cortot Prize since the creation of this competition. Nour is also the first and only Moroccan to have won the Grand Prix at the Moroccan International Piano Competition HRH Princess Lalla Meryem in 2016.

Nour started her piano studies at the age of 6 in Casablanca with Nicole Salmon. At the age of 16, she moved to Paris to pursue her musical studies at the Ecole Normale de Musique and the Conservatoire National de Musique de Paris.

She has harvested several prizes in international competitions. She won the First Prize at the Virtuoses du coeur Competition in Paris in 2019, the Grand Prix at the Flame Competition in Paris, the First Prize at the Baku International Classical Music Competition, the Second Prize at the Alion Piano Competition in Estonia and the First Prize at the Moroccan National Music Competition, among others.

Nour has been invited to play in various festivals (Spiriades festival, Contemporary Music festival in Paris, Barbizon festival, Alizés festival in concerto with the Moroccan Philharmonic Orchestra, Musical October in Carthage in Tunisia, Glafsforden Musik Festival in Sweden...). She has also given several concerts in Europe (Poland, Azores, Italy, Switzerland, Portugal,...) and in eight Moroccan cities. In 2018, she was invited to play at the National Assembly in Paris, at the Salle Cortot.

Thanks to her Prize, Nour, who is pursuing her studies at Sciences Po Paris, will perform in June at various festivals in France (Chopin Nohant festival, Les Nuits du Piano, Orléans Piano Festival, Monaco...) and will have the opportunity to record her first CD.
