A 20-year-old Moroccan man was sentenced to one year and eight months in prison for spreading ISIS propaganda in Italy, Italian newspaper La Repubblica reported

The sentence was however suspended as the young man was expelled from the Italian territory in April.

The man was arrested in 2018 in the town of Fossano (Cuneo province, north), where he lived with his mother.

On January 10, prosecutor Manuela Pedrotta had requested a two-year prison sentence. The following day, the court ordered the release of the defendant to expel him from Italy. The young man had meanwhile denied these accusations.
