A Filipino worker died after falling from a building in Casablanca, escaping her angry employer, Philippine Daily Inquirer reported, quoting a statement by the Philippine Embassy in Tripoli.
The worker was severely injured after jumping form the apartment building, Saturday, and succumbed to her wounds.
The same communiqué revealed that the 49-year-old worker «had an argument with her employer and tried to flee the building using pieces of garments she tied together».
An investigation was opened by the Moroccan authorities and the employer have been taken into custody, the statement said.
A Filipino team has been sent to Casablanca to coordinate with the Moroccan authorities and repatriate the body of the victim, the same communiqué concluded.
