Hearings in the Geert Wilders «fewer Moroccans» case are to start, Tuesday, after Dutch far-right politician appealed against his conviction, Dutch News reports.

Complaining about alleged political interference, Wilders claimed weeks before the start of the appeal that former Dutch Justice Minister Ivo Opstelten and the head of the public prosecution wanted to him prosecuted, the same newspaper said, quoting RTL Nieuws and the Telegraaf.

Expected to start in May, the appeal was delayed after Wilders managed to get the judges removed after «alleging bias».

In 2014, Wilders told the crowds that «the Hague should be a city with fewer problems, if possible, fewer Moroccans».

He then asked his followers whether they want more or fewer Moroccans in the city and they chanted repeating «fewer, fewer, fewer». Wilders responded saying : «We will take care of that». In December 2016, he was found guilty of «inciting discrimination against Dutch Moroccans».
