Two suicide bombers have targeted Tunisian police officers, blowing themselves up in separate locations in Tunis.

According to AFP, a suicide bomber blew himself up, Thursday, near a police patrol in Charles de Gaulle Street in central Tunis. The Tunisian Interior Ministry announced that a police officer was killed and at least four other people were injured.  

A few minutes later, a second bombing took place near a police station in the al-Qarjani district, injuring four other people. A spokesperson for the Interior Ministry said that the «bombers had not yet been identified», the Independent reported.

In 2018, Tunis was targeted by another suicide bomber. A woman blew herself up near a group of police officers, injuring twenty people.
