Sahara : Two French diplomats visit the MINURSO’s headquarters

Two diplomats from the French Embassy in Rabat visited Laayoune this week. On Monday, July 8, the delegation visited the headquarters of the council of Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra region and the city council.

On Tuesday, the same delegation headed to the MINURSO headquarters in Laayoune, where talks were held with officials from the UN peacekeeping mission. The two diplomats then went by plane to the Aoussred and Oum Dreyga Team Sites, which are located near the sand wall.

During this trip, the French diplomats met with elected representatives from the region and listened to them.
