The United States Consulate General in Morocco is planning to construct a new headquarters in Casablanca. According to a press release sent, Thursday, to Yabiladi, the new project was at the heart of a meeting held on July 25th and 26th in a Casablanca hotel by the American Consulate and US Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations.
The meeting was an opportunity to meet with Moroccan construction companies to discuss the new project and select firms that can help build the new facility. The same event was also organized to attract suppliers which might be interested in participating to this project.
Speaking during the conference, the United States Consul General in Casablanca Jennifer Rasamimanana said that «Casablanca continues to grow as a business hub (…) and our diplomatic mission must meet the criteria of a world-class headquarters». «We are very excited about this project», the diplomat added.
According to the same communiqué, the new building will be a modern compound at the Casa-Anfa area and would include green spaces, and clean technologies. The construction of the building will start by the second semester of 2020.
