Brenton Tarrant, the Christchurch attack terrorist, has been sending letters to white supremacists from his prison cell, the Guardian reports.

A six-page letter from Tarrant was sent to someone called «Allan» and published by a user on a white supremacist forum called 4chan, Franceinfo reports. The letter was sent in July and «experts say it can be read as a call to arms for white supremacists worldwide», the Guardian wrote.

«We have never had to manage a prisoner like this before – and I have asked questions around whether our laws are now fit for purpose and asked for advice on what changes we may now need to make», corrections minister Kelvin Davis said a statement.

«I do not believe that corrections should have allowed this letter to be sent and have sought assurances from them that there will be an enhanced process from now on», the same source added.

The Australian man opened fire on worshipers at two mosques on Christchurch, in March, killing 51 people. The self-declared white supremacist is facing terror-related charges.
