Dutch-born Moroccan footballer Sofyan Amrabat refused a loan bid from Italian club Hellas Verona, Dutch sports newspaper Voetbalprimeur reports.
The club managed by Italian coach Fabio Grosso, has offered to loan Amrabat with the possibility of signing him in the future.
Born in Blaricum on August 21, 1996 to Moroccan parents from Ben Tayeb, Sofyan grew up in Huizen and started playing football at an early age with his big brother Nordin.
In 2013, he participated in the U17 World Cup with the Atlas Lions before being summoned in 2017 to join the national football team. He also participated in the 2018 World Cup in Russia, especially in the first match against Iran.
