More than 50 boats will be heading south, Friday August 23, to take part in the Morocco Yacht Rally in aid of the Red Cross, Gibraltar's public service broadcaster GBC reports.
The participating yachts will have to sail from Gibraltar to the Tanja Marina Bay in the city of Tangier. The participants are from «Gibraltar, Spain, Portugal, Morocco and the United States», the same source said.
The Morocco Yacht Rally is held to raise funds for the Red Cross. For this year, the objective is to collect £11,000 (around MAD129,168). For the record, the rally has not been held in two years.
