Security services at the Tangier-Med port seized on Tuesday 460 kg of Chira (cannabis resin) and arrested two people.
The banned substance was concealed inside a car that was heading for Spain, national police said in a statement.
The driver, a 38-year-old Moroccan man, and his female companion (40) were arrested, the source added.
They were placed in custody for further investigation under the supervision of the competent prosecutor.
