A 25-year-old Moroccan assaulted, Sunday, two Carabinieri officers who tried to arrest him in Airuno, a commune in Italy.

According to Il Giorno, the two police officers asked the Moroccan man who was driving a motorcycle to pull over. The same source reveals that the man was waiting for a client who reportedly wanted to purchase drugs from him.

Resisting the arrest, the Moroccan attacked the two men, punching, picking and even biting them. The man ended up escaping.

The two officers spent the night at the hospital, after they managed to seize the backpack of the Moroccan that contained cocaine, money and some phones.

The backpack also contained documents proving that the Moroccan stayed in Italy without having a valid residence permit, concludes Il Giorno.
