While Marrakech is being on the list of the cities affected by the collapse of British travel firm Thomas Cook, some celebrities are still enjoying their stay in the Red City.
Spotted last week in the Jemaa El Fna square, former United States president Bill Clinton was seen again in Marrakech, sipping tea with his wife Hilary, a former presidential candidate.
The couple were sitting next to a modest and traditional table, being offered Moroccan tea. The photo was taken after it was reported, last week, that the Clintons are in Marrakech to attend the birthday of Moroccan-American billionaire Marc Lasry.
While the Clintons decided to visit the city’s square and narrow markets, other celebrities have made of the city their number destination, when thinking of their weddings, birthdays and special parties.
That was the case for British actor Idris Elba who tied the knot in Marrakech in April, inviting friends and family members.
In August 2018, Madonna celebrated her 60th birthday with her family and friends in the city.
