The French arm of British tour operator Thomas Cook announced, Tuesday, that it had been placed in receivership by a commercial court, Agence France-Presse (AFP) reports.
The company revealed that «several serious buyers» had shown interest in purchasing the tour operator.
«The goal is to ensure continued operations for the French subsidiary and rapidly find a takeover solution», Thomas Cook France said, adding that buyers are mostly from the tourism sector.
For the record, British tour operator Thomas Cook announced its collapse on September 23, putting an end to its operations and activities abroad.
In Morocco, one of the most important destinations of the British holiday operator, tourists were holidaying in Marrakech and in Agadir when they heard about the firm’s bankruptcy.
