On Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year to be celebrated Sunday, the Israel Central Bureau of Statistics released a new report on the number of Jews living in various countries around the world.
Data compiled by the government office, show that are about 14.8 million Jews in the world, a number that has increased slightly compared to 2018, when they were only 14.7 million.
The office states that most of the Jews, living outside Israel, are settled down in the United States, which hosts 5.7 million of them.
According to the same report, 26,000 Jews live in Arab and Muslim countries, including Morocco. In fact, 2,000 Jews are living in the Kingdom, 15,000 in Turkey, 8,500 in Iran and 1,000 in Tunisia.
