Moroccan-Canadian writer Mustapha Fahmi wins the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean Book Fair prize

Moroccan-Canadian professor Mustapha Fahmi won the 2019 Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean Book Fair prize for his work «The Lesson of Rosalind» (La leçon de Rosalinde). The award was presented to him last weekend during a ceremony held in his honor.

His book links between literature, philosophy and life. Just like his other contributions as an English literature professor, Fahmi spent 23 years studying the works of William Shakespeare and published several articles and essays in Canada, the United States and England.

Mustapha Fahmi is a professor at the University of Quebec in Chicoutimi. His work includes a series of poems in Arabic.
