The 91-year-old daughter of one of the women who were allegedly raped by Moroccan Goumiers during World War II will be heard, Tuesday, by an Italian court.
The woman will have to tell the judges about her mothers’ alleged rape, Otatvia Fabbrizzi, Italian newspaper La Nazione reported.
In fact, Siena prosecutor Valentina Magnini had submitted a request to the court, urging it to hear the 91-year-old woman, who is one of the last witnesses related to the case.
This request comes after the lawyers of Giselda Fabbrizzi filed a complaint, stating that the woman witnessed the alleged rape of her mother.
Ottavia Fabbrizzi is allegedly one of the Italian women who were raped by Moroccan Goumiers, deployed by the French army during World War II. Indeed, the history of these alleged «rapes» was the subject of several books, a national stela and a film that rendered homage to the Italian women.
