Morocco police expelled, Thursday, two Danish activists from Morocco’s southern provinces, one of the expelled activists told Spanish news agency EFE.

Mille Neumann explained that she and Katinka Klinge Albrectsen arrived Wednesday night in Agadir on a flight from Copenhagen. They then took a bus to Laayoune, for a visit to Dakhla.

When the bus reached on Thursday a checkpoint near Laayoune, the Moroccan police prevented the Global Action activists from entering the city. «They were forced to take a taxi and return to the city of Agadir», wrote EFE.

«They took our passports and interrogated us for more than two hours about the reasons behind our trip to Morocco, work and photos on Facebook in Sahrawi refugee camps», Neumann said. The two activists planned to visit the Sahara and meet human rights groups.

On August 18, the Moroccan authorities expelled Spanish lawyer Cristina Martinez, who was planning to attend the trial in Laayoune as an observer.
