A Syrian national is reportedly linked to the seven-membered terrorist cell dismantled, Friday, in Casablanca, Ouezzane and Chefchaouen, the head of Morocco's BCIJ security agency Abdelhak Khiam said Monday in Salé.

The man in question is an emissary sent by the terrorist group «Islamic State» to the leader of the cell, said Khiam in a press briefing on the cell recently dismantled. He added that the authorities are currently making a facial composite of said Syrian emissary.

According to data provided by Khiam, the man was accompanied by two individuals when attending a meeting in the Ouazzane region with the head of the terror cell. During this meeting, the emissary promised that ISIS would help the cell carry out terrorist acts in the region, targeting Casablanca.
