Pedro Sanchez calls for more financial support to help Morocco tackle migration

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has once again called the European Union for more financial support to help Morocco fight against irregular migration, Euractiv reports.

«Thanks to the help of Morocco we have managed to reduce the number of arrivals in Spain in 2019 by 50%», Sanchez said during a joint press briefing held yesterday.

«Morocco is a primordial partner for Spain and Europe», he told reporters. Migration will be at the heart of the upcoming European Union summit, scheduled for December.
