The members of the Foreign Affairs Committee from the two Houses of the parliament will be visiting the Moroccan sand wall in the Sahara.
According to Arabic-language newspaper Al Massae, planning and preparations for the visit are underway. Quoting the head of the parliamentarian committee Youssef Gharbi, the newspaper indicates that the trip «is meant to support members of the Moroccan army who are deployed in the Sahara».
Meanwhile, Minister-Delegate for National Defense Abdellatif Loudiyi said that the visit’s request will be submitted to King Mohammed VI, the Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces.
This trip is the second of its kind, recalls the same source, adding that in 2010 MPs visited the the sand wall.
