In Vitoria, members of the Polisario Front settled down in the capital of the Basque Country have tried to prevent pro-Morocco Sahrawis from holding conferences.
On Wednesday November 20, they stormed a conference led by Dahi Aggay, president of the «the Association of missing persons at the hands of the Polisario» and a Sahrawi who spent several years in the Front's prisons in the Tindouf camps before joining the kingdom. Young people, presented as acting on the orders of Bachir Mustapha Sayed had reportedly assaulted Aggay.
Yesterday, again in Vitoria, a meeting organized by the «Saharawi Human Rights Defense Association» was interrupted by «a woman who behaved inappropriately towards a Moroccan Saharawi». The woman in question was arrested by the police and taken to the police station where she spent the night. «Apart from this incident, we were able to finish our conference in peace», the NGO’s president Messoud Ramdan told Yabiladi.
On 22 and 23 November, the Polisario will organize in Vitoria the 44th edition of the «European Conference of Support and Solidarity with the Saharawi People».
