London : A Muslim woman praised for standing up to a man over his anti-Semitic comments

A Muslim woman was praised for confronting a man who was making anti-Semitic comments about a Jewish family in a London tube line, Sky News reports.

The man who was standing next to a Jewish man and his child, opened the bible and started reading a passage with a quote about the «synagogue of Satan», while leaning towards the little kid.

After a passenger approached the man in question in a failed attempt to make him stop, a veiled woman told him to refrain from continuing his comments. «There are children here», she said.

The video of this incident was published online by British filmmaker Chris Atkins, who witnessed what happened.

He told Sky News that «four passengers confronted the abusive man, including the Muslim women wearing a hijab who he called ‘incredibly brave’».
