Spain expels a Moroccan for participating in Catalan independence marches

Spanish authorities have decided to expel a Moroccan national for participating in Catalan independence marches in Lleida on October 14 after the Spanish Supreme Court handed prison sentences to nine Catalan separatists.

The Moroccan in question was arrested by Catalan police and was sent to prison. Once released, the court decided to send him back to Morocco. Three other Moroccans, arrested for the same reasons, are pending expulsion.

Weeks ago, Ayoub, a 22-year-old Moroccan who had been living in Lleida fro three years was also sent back Morocco.
