While other pro-Polisario Saharawis attended on November 22 and 23 the 44th European Conference of Support and Solidarity with the Sahrawi People (Eucoco) in Spain, Aminatou Haidar preferred to fly to Germany.
Monday in Berlin, the president of the Collective of Sahrawi Human Rights Defenders (CODESA) met the former UN Secretary General's personal envoy for Western Sahara Horst Köhler.

«It was a great honor to be received by the former Secretary General's personal envoy for Western Sahara Horst Köhler», wrote Haidar on her Twitter account, captioning a photo that she took with the former German president.
«Thank you very much, Mr. President, for your nobility and your personal commitment to the Saharawi people. The struggle continues», she added.
For the record, Köhler resigned from his position as personal envoy to Western Sahara in May, citing health issues.
