The former technical director of Morocco’s Royal Football Federation (FRMF) Pim Verbeek, died, Thursday, aged 63 after a battle with cancer.
The news was announced by Dutch club Sparta Rotterdam, where he had been a board member since the beginning of the year.
The former Sparta footballer and manager was appointed in 2010 as the national youth technical director for Morocco. Along with coach Mohamed Ouarga, the Dutch director’s efforts earned Morocco's qualification to 2012 Summer Olympics.
The Dutch football coach also coached Feyenoord, FC Groningen and Fortuna Sittard, as well as the teams from South Korea and Australia.
