The Moroccan authorities prevented, Sunday, four Basque MPs from the «joint group of peace and freedom for the Sahrawi people» from entering Western Sahara, where they planned to stay for a week, Spanish agency EFE reports.

According to Carmelo Barrio, a member of the People’s Party (PP) and the coordinator of the joint group, the delegation landed in Laayoune. After arriving in Morocco, the MPs were prevented by authorities from leaving the plane and were forced to return to the Canary Islands.
