Hirak : Nasser Zefzafi’s father resigns from the Tafra association

Hirak detainee’s father Ahmed Zefzafi has resigned from Tafra, an association created by Hirak detainees’ families. Nasser Zefzafi’s father has announced that he is abandoning his post as head of said association.

«From now on, I will only speak on behalf of my son. From now on, Ahmed Zefzafi will defend only his son Nasser Zefzafi», he said in a video.

Ahmed Zefzafi’s decision comes after his association has been accused of «misappropriation of funds» and of «politicizing» the case.

On Thursday, December 5, a Hirak detainee’s wife was arrested for allegedly «smuggling prohibited substances to the Tangier prison when visiting her husband», who is sentenced to five years in prison.
