US Marines conduct a Humanitarian Mine Action training in Morocco

A team of the US Marines with Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force-Crisis Response-Africa is currently conducting a Humanitarian Mine Action (HMA) Program by in Morocco, wrote Defence Web on Tuesday.

The training, conducted at the request of the US Department of State, started on December 2nd and is expected to be concluded on the 13th of the same month.

During this training, US Marines will be holding a train-the-trainer concept to «enhance Moroccan service member’s confidence and ensure proficiency in their ability to instruct additional Moroccan service members» in bomb disposal, the same source said.

The team will also help Moroccan service members «conduct crisis-response and theater-security operations in Africa and promote stability by conducting military-to-military training exercises throughout Europe and Africa», Defence Web reports.
