Moroccan authorities expelled, Tuesday, pro-Polisario Portuguese journalist Isabel Lourenco from the city of Laayoune.
According to Spanish news agency EFE, the journalist did not reveal the reason why she was visiting the Sahara. In fact, Lourenco was planning to «visit the relatives of Sahrawi prisoners sentenced by Moroccan courts», wrote online newspaper Tornado on its Twitter account.
EFE recalls that Morocco expels «almost systematically foreign sympathizers» of the Polisario when it suspects that they could have a «hostile political agenda».
«In many cases, the police do not even allow foreign activists from getting off the plane», EFE concluded.
