After Algiers, the Polisario denounces the opening of a Comorian consulate in Laayoune

After Algeria, it’s the Polisario’s turn to react officially to the opening of a Comorian consulate in Laayoune. «It is an aggression» and «a flagrant violation of all international covenants, particularly the Constitutive Act of the African Union», the Front said in a statement released in the early hours of Saturday, December 21.

The separatist movement is therefore asking the government of the Comoros to «reverse its illegal and immoral decision». In the same statement, the Polisario front also says : «the Sahrawi republic will take the necessary measures to defend its sovereignty».

As for Brahim Ghali, the leader of the Polisario asked the AU, through press statements, to «take the necessary measures regarding this provocative move» by the Comoros.
