Prince Moulay Rachid flies to Oman to offer condolences on the death of Sultan Qaboos

Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said received Prince Moulay Rachid of Morocco, who flew to Oman to offer condolences, Monday, the Oman News Agency (ONA) said.

Moulay Rachid was received «at the Al Alam palace as an envoy of His Majesty King Mohammed VI bin Hassan king to offer condolences on the death of the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said», ONA wrote.

«Prince Moulay Rachid, expressed his sincere condolences and His Majesty the Sultan expressed his sincere thanks to His Highness and the accompanying delegation», ONA added.

For the record, Qaboos bin Said was the Sultan of Oman from 23 July 1970 until his death on January 10, 2020. A fourteenth-generation descendant of the founder of the House of Al Said, he was the longest-serving leader in the Middle East and Arab world at the time of his death
