A man shot in London after stabbing several people

Police in London shot a man to death, Sunday, after he stabbed several people in Streatham, a busy residential suburb in the city, AFP reports.

Three people were injured, with one person in «a life-threatening condition», wrote the BBC on Monday. The attacker had a hoax device strapped to his body during the attack, the same source added.

«He was under active police surveillance at the time of the attack, which police believe to be an Islamist-related terrorist incident», BBC said.

For the record, London has seen several terrorist attacks in the recent years. In November 2019, a stabbing attack killed two people at the London Bridge and the attacker was shot dead by the police.
