Morocco’s Masen launches a pre-qualify call for its 400-MW solar tender

The Moroccan Agency for Sustainable Energy (Masen) has launched a call for pre-qualification for the construction of a 400-MW solar photovoltaic (PV) park, Renewables Now reports.

Quoting the agency, the same newspaper said that a call for expressions of interest (Eols) has been issued last week to attract interested developers who want to submit their bids before 28 February.  

The tender launched by Masen is about the first phase of the Noor PV II project expected to see the construction of PV plants in different parts of teh country.

«The nine locations, according to economic news service Econostrum, will be Boujdour 2, Laayoune 2, Taroudant, Kelaa des Sraghna, Sidi Bennour, Bejaad, Lhajeb, Guercif and Ain Beni Mathar», Renewables Now wrote on Monday.

For the record, Masen opened last summer a tender for the 230-MW Noor Midelt II solar power plant project in the Atlas Mountains.
