Moroccan movie to be screened at the Jerusalem Film Festival, Israeli Foreign Ministry says

The Israeli Foreign Ministry has announced on its Facebook page «Israel Speaks Arabic» that a Moroccan movie will be screened at the Jerusalem Film Festival (JFF), scheduled for next week in Al-Quds.

The abovementioned movie is «Sofia», a film directed by Moroccan moviemaker Meryem Benm’Barek and starred by Maha Alemi and Sarah Perles.

According to the Facebook page, the Moroccan film will be screened, on Tuesday, February 18, alongside other feature films from Algeria, Syria, Tunisia, Egypt and Sudan.

The said festival is an opportunity for the Israeli public to discover the best cinematographic works of the Middle East, to highlight the civilization, culture and people of the Arab countries and their problems and to create a cultural bridge, wrote the Ministry.
