To the Polisario, cancelling Crans Montana Forum is due to international pressure

The Polisario Front has claimed that the cancellation of the 6th edition of Crans Montana Forum in Dakhla is due to «international pressure and boycott».

To back its claims, pro-Polisario media quoted a «former UN official» who «would have deeply regretted having the event held in Dakhla (…) and affirmed that holding such international event is a real problem».

However, having the annual meeting canceled has nothing to do with the reasons mentioned by the Polisario Front. In fact, organizers decided to annul the 6th edition of the forum, previously scheduled for March, over coronavirus fears.

The decision is part of the preventive measures implemented by the Moroccan authorities to avoid the spread of the novel virus, which had affected two Moroccan national so far.
