Morocco’s House of Representative Speaker receives the Algerian ambassador

The Speaker of Morocco’s House of Representatives Habib El Malki received, Thursday, Algeria’s ambassador to Rabat Abdelhamid Abdaoui, who was recently appointed.

During this meeting, El Malki confirmed that what units «Morocco with Algeria is greater than what separates them», a communiqué sent by the House of Representatives read.

«Unity factors between the two countries are very strong and multiple», he added, referring to shared history, memory, language, religion and culture.

He also stressed the need of reviving the Arab Maghreb Union (AMU) and strengthening cooperation and solidarity between the two neighboring countries.

Meanwhile, the Algerian diplomat stressed the importance of dialogue between the two countries, especially at the parliamentary level, with the aim of evaluating what unites the two countries.
