Morocco’s Minister of Equipment Abdelkader Amara has tested positive for coronavirus

The Minister of Equipment, Transport, Logistics and Water, Mr Abdelkader Amara, has tested positive for coronavirus, his ministry announced Saturday in a press release.

After returning from an official mission to several European countries and after feeling abnormal tiredness accompanied by headaches, the minister presented himself to the medical services, which subjected him to the necessary examinations and analyzes that confirmed his contamination.

Since the symptoms presented by the Minister are mild and of no concern, and as instructed by the doctors, the minister will remain at home for 14 days.

He will exercise his usual functions by using all the technological means, which make it possible to work at a distance, while taking the necessary health precautions, in accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Health.

According to the Health Ministry, Morocco has recorded 18 confirmed coronavirus cases.
