On Monday, an employee at the Office Cherifien des Phosphates (OCP), Morocco’s phosphate exporter, tested positive for the novel coronavirus. A source within the company told Yabiladi, Monday, that the employee had showed mild flu symptoms but tested positive for the virus.

The same source reported that after the confirmed case was announced, OCP’s headquarters in Casablanca was evacuated.

For its part, the Ministry of Health did not indicate whether the 29th case confirmed earlier this morning is that of the employee in question.

The OCP employee with Covid-19 is under home quarantine. The same thing goes for those who were in close contact with the patient.
