The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Morocco has reached 58, according to the Health authorities. On Thursday, the Health Ministry reported in a Facebook post four new confirmed coronavirus cases, after the number stood yesterday at 54.
During a press conference, Wednesday, the Health Minister Khalid Ait Taleb said: «1,362 is the number of people who were in contact with the confirmed cases».
«Morocco has 44 hospitals that can house the confirmed cases», the minister said, adding that «the country has 1,640 reanimation beds, including 684 in the public sector and 504 in the private one».
Morocco also has «70 beds in military hospitals, 130 ones in public utility institutions» and plans to provide 250 others.
During his briefing, Ait Taleb urged Moroccans to stay home and comply with the preventive measures and decisions taken by the authorities to avoid the spread of the virus.
For the record, Morocco has recorded two deaths due to coronavirus.
