The Public Prosecution and the Health Ministry in Morocco has ordered the opening of an inquiry after a Tetouan-based doctor who tested positive for coronavirus did not comply with the preventive measures set up to stop the spread of the virus.
In a press release, the Health Ministry announced that the doctor in question resumed work after returning from abroad and conducted two surgeries without being authorized by the health authorities to breach his quarantine.
The preliminary investigation showed that the doctor has allegedly put others’ lives in jeopardy and illegally practiced obstetrician-gynecology, while he is only licensed to practice general medicine.
The Ministry decided to close the clinic where he used to practice and carry an investigation.
