Tens of Moroccans, stranded in Algeciras since March 13, are now staying in a hotel in the city, the Europa Sur news agency reported on Wednesday. These Moroccans were unable to leave the country after Spain suspended air and sea travel to avoid the spread of coronavirus.

Trying to find a solution, they went to the Kingdom’s consulate in the city. Last week, the diplomatic representation was able to book coaches for those who live in Italy to leave Spain, while others who wanted to return to Morocco remained stranded.

The Spanish authorities have decided to transfer the remaining group to a hotel in the city.
