Morocco’s Covid-19 confirmed cases jump to 402

The number of Covid-19 infections in Morocco reached 402, Saturday, the Health Ministry reported. 1,574 suspected cases have tested negative for the virus so far.

The death toll amounts currently to 25. A new recovery was also recorded, Saturday, bringing the total number to 12.

According to the Ministry, 42% of the recorded confirmed cases are women and 58% of them are men.

The average age of the confirmed cases is 66. Most of these cases have chronic illnesses and were admitted to the hospital in a critical condition.

59% of the confirmed cases were infected locally while 41% of them were infected abroad. 13% of the cases had no clinical symptoms, 72% have moderate conditions and 9 are in critical condition while 6% have severe conditions.

The confirmed coronavirus cases in Morocco are located as follows : 117 in the Casablanca-Settat region, 72 in Rabat-Salé-Kenitra, 72 in Fes-Meknes, 70 in Marakech-Safi, 29 in Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima, 14 in the Oriental region, 11 in Souss-Massa, 10 in Beni Mellal-Khenifra, 6 in Draa-Tafilalet, and 1 in Guelmim-Oued Noun.
