Egyptian singer tests positive for coronavirus following a trip to Morocco

Egyptian singer Enas Ezz Eldeen announced, Sunday evening, that she tested positive for the novel coronavirus. In a live broadcast on her Facebook page, she declared that she got infected with Covid-19 while on a trip to Morocco during which she attended an artistic ceremony on the occasion of International Women's Day, on March 8.

«We were with an undeclared case who, upon arriving in Egypt, discovered his infection», she explains, without giving further details.

According to Egyptian media, Enas Ezz Eldeen was in quarantine in Egypt on her own at her place of residence, and has since adopted sanitary measures imposed by the Egyptian authorities. This Monday, she published another live from an Egyptian hospital treating people who tested positive for Covid-19.

«I would like to reassure you. I am moved by your solidarity and your messages”, she said while addressing her fans.

For the record, the Egyptian Ministry of Health previously announced 609 confirmed cases of infection with the novel coronavirus.
