In the United Kingdom (UK), Muslims unable to visit their local mosques to pray during the coronavirus lockdown can now turn their local radio stations on to listen to reflections and Islamic sermons.
According to local newspaper Birmingham Live, BBC has been airing Islamic reflections and prayers on local 14 stations.
The broadcaster started the weekly initiative on April 3. A different Muslim imam leads the spot each week, the same source added.
The initiative comes after the British government closed all places of worship on March 23 to avoid the spread of the novel coronavirus.
