A sports venue annexed to the Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca, will soon be transformed into a field hospital to exclusively accommodate patients infected with the new coronavirus.
The facility joins other venues turned into field hospitals amid coronavirus crisis, including the Casablanca International Fair’s hall, French-language newspaper Le360 reports.
The new field hospital will be able to accommodate hundreds of Covid-19 patients who can be treated there.
«With a capacity of 12,000 seats, this indoor hall, part of the Mohammed V complex, hosts several sporting events each year», the same source recalled.
Casablanca will eventually have four field hospitals, including two military hospitals (Benslimane and Nouaceur), set up to host coronavirus cases.
