The Ministry of Health invited Moroccans on Tuesday to respect the preventive measures set up to fight against the novel coronavirus.

In a press release, the ministry indicated that Moroccans who are forced to leave their house for work or urgent purposes, like getting supplies and for health reasons, must «wash their hands with soap or a disinfecting gel several times, disinfect surfaces and wear a face mask accredited by health authorities».

The ministry suggests, «washing your hands before» wearing a mask and making sure that it is not pierced.

The ministry also recommends «covering your nose and mouth well so that there is no empty spaces between the face and the mask» and to «ensure that the folds or the colored face are outside (depending on the type of mask)».

«You also need to pinch the mask so that its upper part takes covers the shape of the nose, while the lower part has to be pulled to cover the mouth and chin», it added.

The ministry also advises «to avoid touching the mask when wearing it» and to «wash hands with soap and water» if that happened.

As well as these means of protection, the Ministry of Health recommends, as soon as the mask is «wet», to remove it by pulling the elastic bands without touching it and throw it in a closed bin. Washing the hands after removing the face mask is primordial.
