On Sunday, ten people working at a canned fish plant in Larache tested positive for coronavirus. Seven of them are women and three are men working in this factory, from which they were transferred to Lalla Meyem hospital in the same city for medical treatment.

A medical source told Alyaoum24 that these ten patients have been in close contact with a confirmed case who died a few days ago. Consequently, the factory in question was closed to prevent the spread of the virus.

Confirmation of these infections brings the total number of Larache coronavirus cases to 21. Last week, an outbreak was also identified in the industrial sector, with the contamination of more than 40 workers at the same factory in Aïn Sebaa, in Casablanca.
