122 new confirmed coronavirus cases recorded in Morocco, 3,568 in total

As of Thursday, April 23, 122 new confirmed coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 3,568.

During a daily press briefing, the head of the epidemiology and the fight against infectious diseases department at the Ministry of Health, Mohamed Lyoubi said that the coronavirus death toll has reached 155 while the number of recovered cases stands at 456.

He also added that 18,379 people have tested negative so far after undergoing coronavirus tests. Lyoubi said that 109 of the confirmed cases recorded today were in close contact with previous confirmed cases.

The health official announced that 40 confirmed cases were recorded in one of the hotbeds previously identified by the health authorities.
