Kuwait organized a second repatriation campaign this week, allowing 4,200 Kuwaiti nationals to return to their country through 24 flights.
According to Kuwaiti newspaper Al Anba, a flight from Nouakchott and through Casablanca took place on Wednesday, and repatriated 290 Kuwaitis stranded in the Kingdom and in Mauritania.
In a press release, the Kuwaitis stranded so far in Morocco thanked the ambassador of their country, saying that the Kuwaiti government had booked 5-star hotel rooms for them and responded to all their needs.
For its part, Egypt organized flights from the Egyptian capital on Thursday to repatriate its stranded nationals, in Morocco, Bahrain, the Netherlands, Spain and Algeria. According to Al3omk, which quotes Egyptian media, the travelers will be transferred to Marsa Alam, a seaside resort located on the edge of the Red Sea, to spend 40 days there before being able to return home.
The plan covered Egyptians staying in Morocco for a temporary period, either for tourism purposes, for a short working visit or for medical treatment as well than students without accommodation. It also concerned «Moroccans with Egyptian citizenship and persons accompanying their Egyptian spouses who have a valid residence card in Egypt».
